Pool Update

Construction and maintenance work will begin on the pool this week. The work will take approximately 2 weeks to complete. There is a long list of items to be completed. Some of the items are required to comply with a new law (The Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act) that went into effect at the end of 2008. Some other items are:
~Repair broken parts
~Replace items missing from the pool / pump area.
In addition to this, the concrete steps will be removed. They are not up to code and the pool will not pass inspection until they are gone.
If you have any questions, please direct them to us, rather than the workers at the pool.
Thank you.

Since the steps are being removed, what are our plans to replace them?

Why couldn't we add to them to make them up to code? They were really nice and so convenient for the little kids. I heard alot of people say how much they liked them, the ones before were horrible and always broken. I think it's a waste of money to take them out when there had to be something we could do to fix them.

I like having stairs but both of the past stairs have been dangerous. I am glad they are gone but would like to hear of plans for stairs up to code.

We will be discussing this issue at the Meeting on Monday May 4th. The company that is removing them said they were shocked that they were solid concrete and that we're very lucky that they did not cave in the pool.
